I am completely and totally infatuated with the work of artist Elsa Mora. I mean really…have you ever seen anything so incredible done with something as humble as paper?

See more of her inspiring work at her here and here.  I would love to own an original piece but it’s pricey as you can imagine. Check her Etsy shop for more wallet friendly prints.

A gorgeous wedding on Style Me Pretty yesterday turned me on to the truly fabulous Etsy designer Sarah Seven.  As much as I love the grandeur of bridal fashion week and all the hoopla that comes along with it, you have to marvel at the amazing world we now live in where an unknown but incredibly talented designer can get her work out to the world.

Sarah’s designs have a raw and unfinished look to them.  I love the slim silhouettes and raw, unfinished look.  If you’re still on the hunt for your dress and looking for something a bit less conventional or just don’t want to deal with the bridal boutique experience, definitely check out Sarah.  But give yourself plenty of time.  Word is she’s super busy (not surprising, look at these dresses!) And no I don’t know Sarah or have anything to do with her company…but I know a hot dress when I see one!

p.s. Great photography and styling too!  Love it.

For the record, I did not wake up today determined to post about all things sugar and sweet.  But one thing led to another in my adventures around the web (as they often do!) and I landed on such a treasure, I just had to share.  Behold the most incredible cookie creations I’ve seen in a long, long time from SweetAmbs Cookies via Etsy.

Seriously…more edible houndstooth?  What did I do to deserve such a day? From Amber’s Etsy shop:

My Orange Vanilla Spice Cookies are about 3-1/2″ in diameter. They are made from a basic sugar cookie recipe, which is then flavored with fresh orange zest, vanilla beans, and a hint of cardamom. The royal icing has a dash of vanilla extract to bring together the wonderful flavors of the cookie.

I have to say I consider myself a bit of a pastry connoisseur.  I’ve been known to drag my poor husband around a city in an effort to satisfy a sweet tooth (trips to Paris with me are really fun).  But I have truly never seen anything like that painted frosting flower petal design.  That is some serious pastry tip skills!

So lovely and best of all cookie artist extraordinaire Amber can customize the design to be just perfect for your wedding.  Her blog is one jaw-dropping cookie after another.  You’ll get lost in it, don’t say I didn’t warn you!  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to her Etsy shop to order those embroidered flower petal cookies…they will be mine!

Paloma’s Nest offers custom ring bearer bowls as a stylish and modern alternative to the traditional pillow option.  Individually hand crafted in Austin, Texas by Caroline Colom Vasquez, the ring bearer bowls are Paloma’s Nests’ signature item but are just the tip of the iceberg in her artisan repertoire (I love the dove bowls!).  Her Etsy shop is full of delightful little gems, including the newly introduced silver & gold leaf varieties of the ring bowl.  Customize yours with your names, wedding date or perhaps a meaningful quote.  And the best part – after the wedding it can serve as a beautiful, instant-heirloom bling holder (which, c’mon, is more than you can say for for even the cutest of ring pillows).
