As promised, I’m back today with a sneak peak into Brooke & Cleve’s beautiful Southport, NC wedding.  Yes, their invitations left me wanting…NEEDING to see more!  Lucky for me, the incredibly talented Shea Halliburton was on hand to capture every breathtaking moment and was kind enough to share them for our viewing pleasure.  The love between these two and the joy of the day is so tangible in these images, I can’t stop looking at them!

Tucked away just below Wilmington, NC and the mouth of the Cape Fear river, Southport is a centuries old port town loaded with charm.  Gnarly live oaks dot the landscape and the scent of salt water hangs in the air all year round.  Brooke and Cleve chose the historic Chapel of the Cross and neighboring community center as the location for their festivities.  Originally erected in 1843, the Chapel is a beautiful relic of the town’s history.

I absolutely love this image of Brooke helping Cleve with his tie before the ceremony.  Shea swears he didn’t peak at all!

Brooke’s gorgeous flowers were designed by none other than her grandmother.  LOVE that.  And is it just me or are these two straight out of a J.Crew wedding spread in these images?

It took a whole lot of self restraint not to post image after image of Brooke in that dress.  It is so well suited for the location and she is so effortlessly chic in it!  And since I know you’re all going to ask, the dress is by Vera Wang!   (hint: if you’re obsessed with it like I am, you can see more on Shea’s blog)

I love the exuberance in that “WE’RE MARRIED!” picture and that custom Jelly Belly blackberry-peach cobbler recipe is just too cute.
