Back as promised with more images from this beautiful wedding.  Catch up with vol. I.

It’s hard to beat this setting among the lush golf greens with the Colleton River in the distance.  And don’t you love the simple touch or adorning the final row of ceremony chairs?  What a great way to add color and a bit of design flair for a totally minimal investment.

After the ceremony, festivities continued inside the clubhouse where guests found their way to tables named after various nautical knots.  Clever uses of color and rope carried the theme throughout.  The anchor motif reappeared in the form of a cake topper and cupcake adornments.   Again all simple touches that add up to a really put together look.

What a treat it has been to feature this wedding!  I could (and did) stare at all of Richard’s images for hours.  If you aren’t yet convinced, get yourself over to his website and I assure you, you’ll soon be as obsessed as I am.

And to Lindsey & Stephen – it has been a pleasure and privilege to feature you on White Thread.  Congratulations!

I should probably disclose up front – today’s real wedding features a bride so beautiful, I found myself completely unable to edit down which images of her I should share with you…so there are lots.  But you’ll see what I mean!  Full blame credit goes to Richard Israel for making this editing so hard.  Richard shoots in 100% film and I have to say, after spending lots of time on his blog (which I suggest you do immediately), I am totally in love.  Every picture is more beautiful than the last and there is a warmth and timelessness to each that defies words.

Lucky Lindsey + Stephen had him on hand to capture their absolutely picture perfect wedding at the Colleton River Plantation just outside of Hilton Head.  I am loving the nod to all things nautical while keeping the color palette a fresh and unpredictable array of purples.

OK seriously…how gorgeous are these pictures?!  Lindsey is just downright stunning in her dress and chic birdcage veil.  And the flowers!!!  So amazing, I can’t stand it.

WARNING:  It would be a good idea to have some tissue on hand before looking at these next images.  They are dripping with emotion and an incredible keepsake of a timeless moment – a daughter and father exchange thoughts and tears before the big moment while mom looks on and swells with happiness.  These are literally some of my favorite wedding pictures EVER and you just know they will be cherished by this family for generations.

Today’s real wedding comes to us from Allison Reisz who is shooting some incredible weddings in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area.  I first spoke with Allison a few months ago when I was researching all the fabulous ceremony and reception options in the area.  Let me tell you, she is a wealth of knowledge, knowing all the perfect nooks and crannies to get that quintessential Lowcountry image.

Jennifer + Brad were married at Palmetto Dunes, and even an unexpected late spring shower couldn’t put on a damper on festivities.  Arrangements were quickly made to move the ceremony indoors and a conference room served in place of the outdoor tent that was just too soggy to use.  But they did sneak outdoors after the ceremony when the storm had passed for some stunning shots.  How gorgeous are those flowers? So lush and magnificent!

What an absolutely gorgeous couple you two make!  Congrats Jennifer and Brad and thank you again for letting White Thread and readers share in your beautiful wedding day.

And another BIG thank you to Allison for sharing these images with us.  Her work is wonderful, I never get tired of looking her blog!

I’m back with part II (missed part I?) of Nicole + Craig’s gorgeous wedding reception at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation.  An old wooden structure with a tin roof and large fireplace as its centerpiece, the Cotton Dock is Southern rustic-chic perfection.  I LOVE the curtain framed doors that By Invitation Only designed for this event.  Billowing in the breeze and softening the space, they make for a wonderful juxtaposition against the wood texture.

Individual fans at each place setting make for a lovely and practical addition to the tablescape.  Guests put them right to use during the hot July night.  And again I have to marvel at those flowers!  I so hope bride Nicole will stop by to give us a few pointers on how to pull off something so elegant while not losing your mind in the process!

Red beans and rice, shrimp and grits and other yummy options by Royal Grand Events Catering kept the menu true to Nicole + Craig’s “all things Southern” vision.  Jean Paul’s Creative Cakes designed the grand finale – a sugar magnolia adorned cake that looks almost too pretty to eat!

Could this wedding by any more magical?  I love the soft warmth of the images.  The love is just palpable.  Thank you Juliet for sharing these with us!  Be sure to check out more of Juliet’s work on her blog and website.  And of course a great bit THANK YOU to the wonderful bride & groom for letting us share in your special day!

I am totally smitten with today’s real wedding.  Not only is photographer Juliet Elizabeth obvsiously super talented, she is also a warm and an all-around lovely person – exactly the kind of person you can feel comfortable with on a day that is sure to carry its fair share of anxious moments.  Nicole & Craig were married in one of my all time favorite churches – The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Charleston.  It doesn’t get much more regal than this!  Melanie Murphy of By Invitation Only worked with the couple on all the details of the day, keeping them cool under pressure (even in the July heat!) and bringing their vision of a truly Southern inspired affair to life.

And would you believe that that spectacular bouquet of white hydrangeas and bells of Ireland was crafted by the bride herself (as were all the other florals! Holy DIY undertaking!)  Back in a bit with reception details from the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation.
