{a little about me}
I’m a collector of experiences and information (and shoes): I get giddy at the thought of a new stamp in my passport. I have more vintage milk glass cake pedestals than any human could ever possibly use in a lifetime. My collection of website bookmarks is in the thousands. Oh…and yes I have a teensy obsession with shoes.
I’m a lucky, lucky girl: In 2005 I married my best friend surrounded by our closest friends and family on a picture perfect day on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. I reveled in literally every aspect of planning our wedding and often joke (but sort of seriously) that I wish we could get re-married every year so I could do it all again. I would have a winter wedding in Boone, a spring wedding in Charleston, a summer wedding on Hilton Head Island…there are just too many wonderful options!
I’m a long time lover of weddings: While other girls were reading Bop and Tiger Beat, I was pouring over every detail of Martha Stewart Weddings’ inaugural issue. I still have that magazine…and every one that’s come since!
{a little about White Thread}
White Thread was born out of my love for weddings and my incessant need to look at pretty things. I can (and do) spend hours absorbed in the gorgeous wedding images and blog posts put out daily around the country. My goal with White Thread is simple – to showcase the unique, personal, love-filled weddings being held right here, throughout North & South Carolina.
I’m always on the lookout for chic and stylish events that capture the essence and beauty of the Carolinas. From the majesty and splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the charm and tradition of the Lowcountry and everywhere in between, I want to see it all and I know local brides-to-be do too!
If you’re a talented wedding professional, a lucky recent bride or just see something that you think our readers would love to know about, I want to hear from you!
